Why did certain congressmen declare that they didn't read the health care legislation they voted on?

I mean, they were voting on "country changing" legislation but couldn't find the time to read it?

Shouldn't that send a signal to the populace?|||Yes very loud and clear. If you had a job and did not do it how long would your employer keep you?|||N O N E of them read the bill!|||Because democrats dont care about the future of the country, they just know that the bill is popular with their party, so they blindly vote for it.|||Shouldnt that be a requirement? How can it be legal to vote on something that you know nothing about?|||Yes, the signal it sends is that very few people know of the true nature of the bill, yet it is on it's way of full progress.|||party and payoff before conscience.|||The signal is, that is the last time any of them will ever tell the truth for the rest of their political careers.|||Because they are stupid, arrogant jackasses.|||They wanted a Victory for the Dems, not for the people.|||I would like to say they could not understand what they were reading, but they did what they were told. We should receive a list of all these idiot senators and publish it in their states at election time. There is a new bill proposing term limits for congress. HJ RES 63.......Dare we hope they do not read this one. (LOL).|||They know this thing stinks to the rafters. They are trying to avoid responsibility. There is an election coming up.

Why do you think it made them so mad that no republicans voted for it? They want to spread the blame for this turkey.|||i understand now why the founding fathers only let landowners vote, it wasnt racism, it was because they were educated and kept track of what was going on in the government, no one is gonna vote people out because they didnt read the bill, you know why, because they are stupid and dont pay attention to anything|||This bill, like so many others, is long and complicated. Congressional representatives have aids who read and analyze proposed legislation, and it would be absurd for an elected representative to read every proposed bill in detail. There aren't enough hours in the day to do so.

Grow up.
